1On a cool evening along the westside highway at Studio 59 at Chelsea Piers,  iiJin presented its latest interpretation of spring / summer streetwear glam for NYFW’s fashion-forward.

Sequins, black and white stripes, colorfully dotted painted faces, and platform shoes were the constants at iiJin’s military funk inspired collection.
A showcase of menswear and womenswear outfits paraded down the runway and was a combination of California 60s cool with cowboy boots, overalls and playful fringe, and the modern edge of Hong Kong where black and white graphic printed sport coats, tees and dark trousers and joggers were also seen. Meaning “precious” in Korean, the iiJin collection sparkled with embellishments, multi-colored sneakers, sequins striped skirts, shirts, and kept it sporty-chic with accents of army green and hard lines.
Instead of the final bow by the designer, street dancers from NYC spilled onto the runway and performed for the audience at the end of the show. A fitting way for an unconventional brand to make its signature, and a flashy ode to the streets.
