Korea hit the streets of London for the first time on August 9, celebrating all things Korean, from Hanbok fashion to kimchi, K-pop, and gaming. The event, organized and supported by the Korean Cultural Centre UK, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Mayor of London, overflowed with fun-filled activities; this included special performances by B-boy crew Jinjo and renowned K-pop idol girl group f(x). Passersby and attendees also had the opportunity to experience Korea’s rich culture through food—Korean supermarkets, like K-Mart and H-Mart, and a very popular Korean BBQ stand attracted the hungry masses. Webtoon and K-pop stores never left you feeling bored, and with many Korea-based and British-Korean designers showcasing their work, this was the best place to source Korea-inspired street style. Here’s a peek into Korea-meets-London street style and shows.
