Switching Styles: Inspired by Hyuna

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFor our first “Switching Styles” project, where we change a person’s style to imitate that of a Korean celebrity, we decided on the Queen of Sexy, Hyuna.

Instantly recognized when she makes an entrance, K-pop star Hyuna is known for her small frame and casual, sexy style. Street style snaps of Hyuna shows she tends to opt for sneakers as she runs from a photo shoot to a rehearsal. She keeps up with trends, staying chic without sacrificing comfort. Decked in oversized shirts, short hemlines, and sultry eyes, Hyuna effortlessly gains admirers.

Our own IFBK founder, Elyse of Faith in Style shows how to mimic Hyuna’s sought-after style. In an oversized tee and black tights, Elyse keeps it simple and comfortable. Her studded sneaks and black beanie give the outfit some urban edge, while the confidence pulls the outfit together.

Inspired by another, feminine side of Hyuna, Elyse created one more look. She creates a sexy side by partially tucking in a loose blouse with Hyuna’s signature short-shorts. Black tights and booties dress up the outfit, while her purse gives a pop of color.

Off stage, Hyuna keeps it cool- with a jam-packed schedule, she doesn’t have the time for all the complexities. Hyuna’s carefree vibe continues to make fans and non-fans alike fall in love.
