In January IFBK visited Korea Style Week, and while at the event we met local Seoul jewelry designer, Choe Min Jeong. She started her jewelry brand, Siho in 2011. Her booth was consistently surrounded by fashion enthusiasts trying on various gorgeous rings, layering necklaces, and stacking bracelets. With every look at a different a piece you could see their eyes growing wider with love (or maybe even lust); it was apparent that they needed Siho jewelry in their life. At IFBK we too were enamored by the gold, silver, and bejeweled creations that had such a new and creative voice. The ring line was our particular favorite because many of the pieces were perfectly crafted in to new, and interesting shapes. Stacking rings is a huge trend at the moment.
Siho offers two different lines that will satisfy your wants at any price point. The lower priced line uses silver, various metals, and faux gems. The price range is from 10,000 to 100,00 Won (~10-100 USD). The high end line produces pieces in small quantities and uses more expensive materials like, silver, gold, and real gem stones. The prices range from 200,000 to 600,000 Won (~200-600 USD).
Below are some of our favorite pieces from her collection featured at Korea Style Week.
